As Chief Financial Officer at Wealth Enhancement, Kelly leads the firm’s Finance organization, with responsibility for financial strategy, planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, and risk management. He partners closely with executive leadership to support the firm’s growth strategy, including M&A activity, capital planning and operational scalability across Wealth Enhancement’s national platform.
Kelly brings more than 16 years of financial leadership experience at Ameriprise Financial, where he held multiple senior finance roles. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Treasury, overseeing treasury operations and leading balance sheet management and risk initiatives. Earlier, Kelly was Vice President and Lead Financial Officer for Ameriprise’s Advice and Wealth Management business, overseeing the finance team supporting a segment with $4 billion in annual revenue. He also served as Chief Financial Officer of Securities America, an independent broker/dealer subsidiary of Ameriprise, where he led finance, accounting and advisor compensation functions.
In 2023, Kelly was named Chief Financial Officer of the Year in the Private Companies (Large) category by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal¹, recognizing his financial leadership and impact within the industry and community. Previously, in 2021, Kelly was also recognized on the Minnesota 500 list by Minnesota Monthly magazine², which highlights the most influential business leaders in Minnesota.
He earned two undergraduate degrees in Finance and Accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Kelly lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with his wife and three children.
