We’re pleased to announce that Paul Brahim, Managing Director — SVP, Financial Advisor, has been elected to the FPA (Financial Planning Association) Board of Directors. As a newly elected board member, Paul will be able to use his strong background and in-depth knowledge of the financial industry to help shape the FPA’s initiatives in the coming years.

Mr. Brahim said, “I am honored to be appointed to the FPA Board of Directors in 2021 and am thrilled to collaborate with my fellow board members to further the FPA’s mission of elevating the financial planning profession. What we do as financial planners has the power to change lives for the better. This opportunity will significantly enhance the way we serve our clients and the way we work together as industry professionals.”

Chief Executive Officer Jeff Dekko said, “It is an honor to have Paul selected for such an integral role in the FPA. His years of working on its Member Advocacy Council to help ensure compliance with a code of ethics and standards make him a wonderful fit for this position. Having one of our Roundtable„¢ team members elected to the FPA Board is a testament to our leadership within the financial planning community–and that leadership translates to advocating for better outcomes for both advisors and clients.”

In his role on the FPA’s Member Advocacy Council for the last three years, Brahim collaborated with the CFP Board on development of the new Code of Ethics and Standards. His principal focus after the publication of the standards was the development of the FPA’s Toolkit for compliance, which included both a form engagement letter and written financial plan template that comply with all of the CFP Board’s standards.

Brahim’s three-year term on the FPA Board of Directors will begin January 1, 2021.
