Bill joined Wealth Enhancement as its General Counsel in 2019 and now serves as Chief Legal Officer overseeing the firm’s Legal department. The department provides a full range of legal services to Wealth Enhancement including mergers & acquisitions, employment, regulatory and corporate law, in addition overseeing the firm’s insurance program
Prior to joining Wealth Enhancement, Bill began his legal career in private practice as an employment and business litigator. He then spent 25 years in corporate counsel positions focusing on commercial transactions, mergers & acquisitions and securities law at corporations including Pillsbury, FICO and Ameriprise Financial. While at Ameriprise, Bill led the team responsible for legal support of their public company compliance, M&A, and corporate finance functions. Immediately prior to joining Wealth Enhancement, he served as General Counsel for Johnson Brothers Liquor Company, one of the largest wine and liquor importers and wholesalers in the United States.
Outside of work, Bill has been an active volunteer supporting medical research with the Bob Allison Ataxia Research Center (BAARC) at the University of Minnesota. He loves to travel and spend time outdoors with his family. He lives in Lino Lakes with his wife, Angie, and their two dogs, Roscoe and Clifford. Bill and Angie have two adult daughters.
