Prior to starting his long and distinguished career in the investment industry, Bruce gained broad entrepreneurial and business experience in the real estate, import/export and restaurant industries. But it’s been in the financial sector where Bruce has made a lasting impact. In a career well into its fifth decade, delivering consistent success at the highest echelons of business (including co-founding his own firm), Bruce’s enthusiasm and energy remain undiminished.
Bruce joined Wealth Enhancement Group in 2021 through the Oakwood Capital Management acquisition. As a Managing Director at Wealth Enhancement Group he uses his skills and his experience to mentor other advisors and to develop long-term, consultative relationships with clients.
Outside of work, Bruce is a visible and active community member, and contributor to numerous charitable organizations in the Los Angeles area. He is a father to Alyssa and Sarah and has been married to Marilyn for more than 35 years. Bruce enjoys traveling with his family, most notably on their annual summer trips to UCLA Bruin Woods and their global adventures. He loves to build things and solve problems. He also enjoys advancing knowledge, sports, politics, art and playing poker.
The banking industry is where Tom first rose to prominence as an innovative and creative presence at high-profile institutions. He established and managed a bank trust department before making the transition into wealth management. Ultimately, he and his partners co-founded their own successful capital management firm.

Tom and his wife, Barbara, have been married for over 40 years and have three children. Besides spending time with his family, Tom enjoys the lifelong pursuit of learning and has always been interested in automobiles, golf and travel.

He is an expert in all aspects of financial planning and investment management guidance, whether it’s with business owners searching for a blueprint to achieve their financial goals or advising those looking to maximize their retirement nest egg.
His goal is to work closely with his clients to make sure they are confident the advice they have been given will help safeguard their financial future. Max joined Wealth Enhancement Group in 2021 through the Oakwood Capital Management acquisition. In his free time, Max enjoys playing live music, spending time with his fiancée, Cara, and his Alaskan Husky, Bucky, as well as working on motorcycles.

He spent several years working with high-net-worth, family offices, and institutional clients. He managed a PIPE fund within the small-cap market and focused on investing in pioneering companies in various financial sectors. He was also a co-founder of a hedge fund that was recognized with several investing awards.
Jim joined Wealth Enhancement Group in 2021 through the Oakwood Capital Management acquisition. In his current role, Jim focuses on risk management and the importance of proper asset allocation. He values the importance of matching a client’s risk tolerance with a suitable financial and investment plan, in order to achieve their long-term wealth management goals. Jim has two sons and enjoys spending his free time surfing with them along the beautiful southern California and Hawaiian coastlines. The family also enjoys taking advantage of the snow up north when time permits. Jim is a firm believer in volunteering his time and is actively involved in numerous church and charitable endeavors.
Joel believes that the core service a Financial Advisor should offer is simply to help clients reach their financial goals through creative planning and ongoing guidance. That belief has remained the same throughout Joel’s entire career, including his current role where he is responsible for supporting existing clients as well as developing new long-term relationships. In his free time, Joel enjoys cooking, playing basketball and (despite the fact that he attended Tulane) following Oregon Ducks Football!
A thirst for knowledge and dedication to his profession is what marked Peter’s first decade in the financial sector. Peter’s talent and work ethic have seen him rise from a Client Service Associate at a boutique wealth management firm, to the role of Associate Financial Advisor at Wealth Enhancement Group.
On any given day, Peter’s responsibilities might include processing day-to-day client service requests, account onboarding, preparing client reviews, analyzing and comparing prospect portfolios, as well as other administrative tasks. In his free time, Peter enjoys backpacking and rock climbing.
Malou brings over 20 years of direct client contact involvement to her role as Senior Client Service Manager at Wealth Enhancement Group. Educated in the Philippines, Malou’s entire professional life and industry experience have taken place at various firms here in the United States.
In her current role, Malou is responsible for investment proposals for prospective clients. She prepares account reviews for existing clients, detailing portfolio characteristics and holdings, total account performance and transaction summaries. Malou is a voracious reader, enjoys movies, fitness, NBA basketball, and spending quality time with her husband, Ritchie Greer.
After graduating from Illinois State University with a degree in communications, Michael actually started his professional life in the radio industry in Chicago. After making the move into the financial sector and eventually relocating to Southern California, these days Michael is very much committed to developing his career. He is a vital liaison between the client and advisor, working on maintaining and developing all aspects of the overall client experience. Michael enjoys playing the guitar, cooking and watching his beloved Chicago sports teams.
Eva’s accounting and organizational skills have allowed her to gain a high level of practical experience and be a valuable contributor in a variety of roles, both in the Philippines and here in the United States. She has worked as a Controller in a construction company, a Financial Analyst in a firm of CPAs, and as an Executive Assistant to the General Manager of a prestigious International hotel. The skills and insights honed over the course of her career make Eva perfectly suited to the broad scope of responsibilities she handles on a daily basis. Eva enjoys watching movies and brisk walking in the park when she has free time.
Ariel’s impressive career in the financial services industry includes positions such as Associate Fixed Income Portfolio Manager, Municipal Bond Trader, Senior Investment Officer (responsible for managing over $8 Billion in Fixed Income securities), Senior Vice President – Fixed Income, and Director of Fixed Income Investments.
That’s an undeniably remarkable resumé that Ariel brings to his current role with Wealth Enhancement Group. Ariel is married with two children and enjoys spending time at Disneyland and the local parks. He is also an avid soccer fan.
Over the course of her career in the wealth management industry, Ayako has held many roles, and she has done them all with great success. She began her career in Institutional Client Relations and Marketing, before moving on to become a Portfolio Analyst, monitoring portfolio trading and guidelines for over $4 Billion in equity securities. Next stop was as a Research Analyst, covering multiple sectors and providing recommendations to portfolio managers. Director of Research was yet another role she filled with distinction. Today, as a Senior Portfolio Manager, Ayako lends her expertise to the research and analysis of individual stocks within managed equity strategies and portfolios. Ayako is married with two children and enjoys traveling, sports, dining out and cooking.
Mindy already has a wealth of knowledge and is also focusing on continuing education. She is a Certified Fixed Income Practitioner (CFIP) and a Certified Bloomberg Expert. In Mindy’s day-to-day responsibilities as a Portfolio Manager, she is actively dealing with portfolio analytics, securities trading, account monitoring and computer support. Mindy also collects and analyzes market data, and she is involved in the development of quantitative risk models used to project taxable and tax-exempt return outcomes. In her free time, Mindy enjoys yoga, traveling and painting.
His years of service may place John firmly in the veteran category, but his technical expertise and advanced IT qualifications clearly put him at the forefront of industry best practices. At Wealth Enhancement Group, John has a rare and much-admired ability to not only understand the latest Information Technology advancements, but to apply them in practical ways that improve how he and his colleagues can help their clients. John’s expertise extends to investing and managing equity and balanced portfolios, tracking and analyzing stocks, trading equities and mutual funds, disaster recovery programs, compliance reporting and compiling marketing reports and materials. John and his wife, Myra, have two children. He enjoys soccer, basketball and running. John has finished the LA Marathon four times.
As a student of Financial Mathematics and Statistics, a career in the financial services field seemed like a logical fit for Anne. In her early days in the industry she worked as an Intern and as a Client Service Associate. In her current role, she finds her days filled with a broad scope of responsibilities including securities set-up, trade processing, trade follow-up, asset allocations, computer support, account monitoring, marketing support, new business proposals and maintaining departmental credit files. Anne enjoys traveling, yoga, and spending time with her friends and family.
Three years as an Investment Accountant gave Jeremy an excellent understanding of the daily workings of the investment management industry. He followed that by taking a position as an Equity Research Analyst, researching and analyzing public equities and providing trade support for the Equity Department. With Wealth Enhancement Group, Jeremy is tasked with reviewing investment packages, monitoring the securities market, and identifying investment opportunities. In his free time, Jeremy enjoys playing basketball, golf, and watching football.
Jeannette has done it all: regulatory registration and compliance, office administration, human resources, personnel policies, hiring and training, plus benefits administration. These days, as a Branch Operations Manager, she is far more likely to be interacting with the SEC, various state securities regulatory agencies, the California Employment Development Division and the California Occupational Safety and Health Administration, among others. Jeannette and her late husband Joseph were married for 49 years, have three sons, and five grandchildren. Jeannette enjoys playing with her grandchildren, gardening, quilting and American history.
Before transferring his skills to the wealth management field, Kevin worked as a Systems Support Administrator for an electronics company. As part of that job, he designed and supported various systems for Jeopardy!, The Price Is Right, Jimmy Kimmel Live, SXSW, Nike, Sonos, and Blizzcon. In his current role, he develops and maintains cloud integration and in-office systems, providing an interface between employees and vendors, ensuring the company stays relevant within the information technology world, and assisting employees in transitioning to a fully digital world. Kevin enjoys camping, hiking, paintball, gaming, reading the latest sci-fi, and tinkering with new tech.
Suzanne has been working in financial services for well over 20 years. She’s one of the unsung heroes who make sure everything runs smoothly so that her colleagues and clients reap the benefits of an efficient working environment. At Wealth Enhancement Group, that means focusing on all back-office functions including trade settlement, new accounts, asset transfers, reorganizations and execution of account changes. In addition, she is a back-up equity trader and acts as primary liaison with various custodians and brokers. Suzanne, her husband, Frank, and their son, Logan, are all ballroom dancers. Suzanne is also a published author, having turned her fascination with history into five books covering subjects ranging from Art Deco architecture to the RMS Queen Mary.
Before entering the wealth management industry, Nelia worked as an Accountant in many different industries, including lighting manufacturing, property management, newspaper publishing, door manufacturing and insurance. Using her accounting background to full advantage in her current role, Nelia is responsible for asset, cash and market value reconciliation, maintaining accounting records of investment portfolios and preparing year-end tax reports for clients. Nelia is happily married to her husband, Charlie, enjoys cooking and watching various television series.
