As challenging as the last year and a half has been for everyone, Wealth Enhancement Group employees were still eager to participate in our charitable partnerships. For another year, our employees dedicated their time to partner with students through BestPrep at Minneapolis Washburn High School to mentor them through a virtual program. BestPrep, a Minnesota-based nonprofit dedicated to educating youth on various employment skills and business opportunities, has been our official corporate charitable partner for several years. In fact, roughly 50% of WEG employees have been involved in one or more of their programs since we began our partnership.

Jeff Dekko, Chief Executive Officer of Wealth Enhancement Group said, “Although the pandemic has changed the way we are interacting with each other and this mentorship was done virtually, WEG is still committed to sustaining and protecting our local communities. WEG employees enjoy volunteering in our corporate charitable programs to help serve and make a difference for the youth and students of BestPrep.”

This year’s opportunity took place from February to April where mentors spoke with mentees once a week via email. They were able to discuss and teach them career skills that are used within the workplace and help students realize how the concepts discussed in class connect to the world of work by sharing their experiences to the students.
