Methodology
Since the ranking’s establishment in 2020, CityWire has utilized Discovery Data to identify and select the most rapidly expanding firms in each state. Citywire uses historical Form ADV data compiled by Discovery Data, which is then carefully analyzed to find the best matches for firm candidates. The eligible firms are evaluated based on three criteria: percentage growth in assets under management (AUM), monetary growth in AUM, and percentage growth in employee count. Using these measurements, a single figure is calculated to determine the top 50 firms.
