About the Research Process

The Barron’s team utilizes over 100 data points to evaluate candidates and rankings are compiled using a range of criteria including assets under management, revenue produced for the firm, regulatory record, quality of practice and philanthropic work. Investment performance is not an explicit component of the evaluation criteria. The award is not indicative of a professional’s future performance and may not be representative of any one client’s experience. This year’s rankings are based on data provided by about 6,000 advisors with approximately 20% being named to the final list.
