The Top Financial Security Professionals ranking was developed in 2021 by SHOOK Research in partnership with Forbes. At the time, R.J. Shook, President of SHOOK Research, described the list as an ambitious undertaking designed to uncover industry role models who have the biggest impact on their clients’ lives.

SHOOK Research states that it has evaluated more than 15,000 professionals for consideration in its rankings published by Forbes. Only 100 professionals, approximately 0.7%, were selected for the Top Financial Security Professionals list. More than 800 professionals, approximately 5%, were selected for the Top Financial Security Professionals Best-in-State list.
